C'mon creators!

Hey guys, this is you're secretary writing. I hope you guys get a chance to log on this site more often. I know we haven't done much. HOWEVER, that WILL change, but it takes more than one person to do that. We can have TONS of fun with this Club, PLEASE remember: Meetings are now on FRIDAYS at 12:00 p.m. Get a pass from Miss Gayol beforehand, that way the securities wont be a problem. I really want to have some creative fun in this club, think of it as this: We create our own world as we go along. Famous quote mentioned in the Secret. So start showing up to the meetings, get friends interested that like to express theirselves with flourished writing :] I hope you guys understand what I'm getting at here. Let's get these ideas out of our heads and putting it into reality.

Much Love,
Bianca :]

untitled.

notes: not an original work, someone posted it on an IRC channel a few years ago. Author will remain anonymous upon request.

Pibbles the Panda is lying in bed, barely conscious but feeling alright. Then suddenly someone is poking him, telling him to 'wake up'. He realizes it's Santa Claus telling him to get up and put his slippers on, so he does. He brings Pibbles to the living room and his whole family is there. No one is bickering or arguing; instead they're all smiling and telling him how much they love him. They've all been waiting for Pibbles. He realizes how much he loves them, how much he's always loved them and always will. Pibbles doesn't even think about tomorrow. Outside it's snowing, a perfect winter wonderland, but inside it's warm and wonderful.

There is delicious food spread out for everyone to eat after the presents are unwrapped. It's a feast unlike anything Pibbles has ever seen before. He can't figure out which he wants to do first, open his presents or eat the delectable treats.
Pibbles' family gives him only one present, a crumpled up piece of paper. He unfolds it. There is a single name written on it. They don't even have to tell Pibbles whose name it is on the paper. It's his soul-mate, that one person he will always love no matter what. Everything is perfect. This is the best Pibbles has ever felt. He curls up in front of the roaring fireplace with his whole loving family and just stares at the paper.
Then it's all over and everything is back to normal. Santa is back at the North Pole, his family starts arguing like they normally do and that relative still has cancer. It was a farce all along? No, it can't be. Pibbles remembers having the piece of paper but can't remember the name.
So he remembers how wonderful everything was that one Christmas morning and decides he wants it to be that way again. It's okay if Christmas comes early this year. Santa wakes him up again, the food is spread out again and his family is loving and wonderful. The lights seem a bit dimmer and the food doesn't taste exactly like he remembers but it doesn't matter. Everything is warm and loving and wonderful.
Then he wakes up again and everything is back to normal. He wonders 'Why can't every day be like this day?' and it is so. Every day is Christmas and that's all that matters.
Some time passes and it's not as great as Pibbles remembers it being. After awhile the food tastes the same as normal food and his family behaves as they normally behave. Santa stops coming by to wake him up. Still, the food is out, the snow is on the ground and today is a nice day anyway.
Then one day Pibbles wakes up and he's cold. He looks around and no one is there, he doesn't know what happened to everyone. They're all gone. His warm bed is some street and it's cold outside, there is snow but it's all slush. He feels sick and his body aches. He's hungry but there's no food. Then some kid kicks him in the side and tells him that Santa is make-believe. There never was a man named Santa Claus. He reaches in his pocket and feels a crumpled up piece of paper. He takes it out and reads it. The name was 'Heroin'.

I like the website.

Hi Miss Gayol and Creative writing club members! Miss Gayol, I just wanted to tell you how sweet the Freidrich Nietzche Quotes are! He is awesome.

The Pledge

Date Composed: September 16th 2008
The Pledge

This Pledge has been drawn up for the members that want to participate in the magnificent and sensational activities of Miami Coral Park’s Creative Writing Club for the 2008 to 2009 scholastic year. Henceforth, the goals we wish and shall accomplish in this astonishing club will be known as the Pledge and it has been broken down to each requirement which is stated below.
The Pledge and all of its terms, rules, and regulations to abide by for the scholastic year of 2008 to 2009 are as follows:
  • Maintaining a 2.5 Weighted G.P.A. at the first weigh-in and gradually increasing it to a 2.8 or higher.
  • Putting forth maximum effort in all activities relating to the Creative Writing Club.
  • Being able to make a complete fool out of yourself by verbally sharing your own creations that this club has inspired you to compose at least once a month.
  • Cooperating as a well mannered, diligent, and sophisticated team yet having our own eccentric creativity.
  • Being capable of balancing any other school related clubs or activities that you may be a part of as well.*
  • Being alert and aware of upcoming momentous events and being responsible to be present for them all.*
  • Being accommodating to your fellow members of the Creative Writing Club.
*The members HAVE to acknowledge that the Pledge is still in play and have to make time when there is no time, or try to maintain equilibrium amongst the clubs.
*Of course attendance takes an important role in keeping informed and such, but if for some reason you cannot attend a vital meeting or event and you have an eligible excuse (I.e. Illness, relative’s death, traveling, etc) then you will be relieved from the consequences. In addition, if you are able to inform Miss Gayol or the officers that you cannot make your presence a success in an event then please do so.
    Gratifying benefits of the Pledge:
Aiming for high standards will highlight and release the finest perspective of your image more than others and yourself will anticipate, which others will demonstrate utter respect. Being in a club offers the opportunity to accumulate community service hours in a pleasurable manner and not in a monotonous way. When it comes to Graduation, there is a reward to those students that are obstinate to gather the most community service hours possible, the rewards would be a cord or medal you wear arrogantly while walking towards the podium smiling so lavishly that you may bump into the person right in front of you. This club also provides the chance for you to extend and flourish your vocabulary so that you can sound like a higher level scholar. Also, you have the opportunity to express yourself in a copious manner that you will really enjoy. In addition to meeting new people to create new bonds, looking clever, getting involved, there is one particular reason why you should give this a try. Most people in high do not take advantage of what it can offer. The Creative Writing Club will educate you to overcome the fear of publicly speaking which will be beneficial to future reference.
*Signing this Pledge you sell your soul to this Club and its sponsor (Miss Gayol) and the officers :) *

Everybody is Welcomed

Come one and all join the club if you have a craving for writing be there so come and help be part of the creation of CP comics along with our awesome sponsor.

Creative Writing Club

The MCPS Creative Writing Club meets during lunch every Monday in room 4235. Miss Gayol is the club's sponsor. CPZine will participate in a series of events throughout the year. We have created this virtual forum of expression in lieu of printing so that we can not only save a tree, but also to expand accesibility to our work. It is also a unique way to collaborate with other students. In addition to creating this online magazine we are also going to be putting out multiple issues of CP Comics a collaborative project w/ The Comic Book Club. We will also be planning an "Open Mic Night".This is a positive club whose aim is to impact the lives of the writers of tomorrow.
